My name is Brad Starkey and I am no stranger to sports. My list of competitive sports range from water to ice and from grass to dirt. The list ranges from my first passion growing up with swimming and diving . . . to what I consider the best sport on earth - Skeleton. Along the path to my final destination of Skeleton, I have won two competitions as a triathlete, participated in a passion of adventure racing, picked up a snowboard (and on my first day was doing jumps and riding the rails), was on the Diving Team in high school, and have done some water skiing. It wasn't until a fellow diver and friend saw a recruiting effort for the "X-treme" sport of Skeleton did I truly find my "home" when I attended my 1st Skeleton School at the end of November 2007 in Park City, Utah. One of the most frequent questions I am asked about this sport is, "what is Skeleton?" |
